... We go ahead in the exploration of the ruins... It's so cold, here.
My hands are frozen. To try in using the camera, I must warm
them inserting one after the other in the pocket of my jacket...

Now the fort of Varisello is located in French
territory but here it seems to be in a nobody's land.
It seems any governement law doesn't exist
to regulate the life in this place.
The silence is the rule. Only the whistles of
the marmots break it.

1940 - 1945

During the World War II this fort and the Moncenisio
have involved in many battles among italian, french
and german troops, that were fighting for the occupation
of this territory.
